Poštovane kolegice i kolege,
Iznimno zadovoljstvo nam je pozvati Vas na kongres Hrvatskog oftalmološkog društva od 10. do 13. svibnja 2012 godine, koji se održava u Bolu na Braču, a glavna tema je 'Starenje i oko'.
Kongres će se održati u suradnji s Francuskim oftalmološkim društvom (Société Française d'Ophtalmologie), Američkim društvom za mrežnicu (The Retina Society) i Europskim društvom oftalmologa (SOE).
Tijekom kongresa posebno mjesto zauzet će mlade nade u oftalmologiji , kojima ćemo posvetiti cijeli simpozij "Mladi u oftalmologiji" te će imati priliku izmijeniti iskustva i natjecati se s kolegama iz Europe. Kao poticaj za daljnje stjecanje znanja i vještina u struci pripremili smo bogate nagrade.
Najbolje radove mladih oftalmologa će izabrati međunarodni odbor, stoga je prezentacija na engleskom jeziku obavezna.
Ovogodišnji smo kongres odlučili obogatiti dodatnim sadržajima i vrhunskim svjetskim predavačima, koji će nam pomoći da naš stručni i znanstveni dio bude na razini vodećih kongresa oftalmologije te smo odlučili produžiti trajanje kongresa na četiri dana.
Iako organizacija kongresa na otoku predstavlja svojevrsni izazov, ljepota otočkog krajolika, izvrstan smještaj i gurmanske delicije su nam učinili izbor uistinu lakim. Pripremite se na bogat i intenzivan stručni program i na druženje u prekrasnom okruženju.

Dear colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to XII Congress of Croatian Ophthalmological Society that will take place in Bol, on the largest island of the central Dalmatian group of islands, from 10th to 13th of May 2012. The main theme is "Aging and the Eye '.
The Congress will be organized with The French Ophthalmologic Society (Société Française d'Ophtalmologie), American Retina Society (The Retina Society) and the European society Ophthalmology (SOE).
During the congress we will take the special care of our young ophthalmologists, and there will be the entire symposium "Youth in ophthalmology" where our young colleagues will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and to compete with counterparts from Europe.
As an initiative for further development of knowledge and skills in the profession we have prepared appropriate awards.
The best work of young ophthalmologists will be chosen by international committee, therefore, the presentation in English is required. This year we made an extra effort to enrich the conference with additional amenities and top international speakers that will help us to keep the level of our scientific work not lower than leading congresses in ophthalmology. That is why we had to extend the duration of the Congress to four days.Although the organization of conferences on the island represents a special challenge, the beauty of it's scenery, accommodation and Dalmatian cuisine and wines made our choice more than easy. Prepare yourself for the rich and intense professional program, and pleasant social life in the beautiful environment.
